Hunter Latam: stolen vehicle recovery with IoT and advanced localization
Hunter Latam has reinforced its stolen vehicle recovery strategy with Telefónica Tech’s IoT solution. In a recent case in Peru, a vehicle was stolen and taken out of the country, where its GPS stopped emitting signal. Thanks to Kite Platform’s roaming and location services, its location was tracked in Cali, Colombia, allowing Hunter agents to successfully coordinate its recovery. This case proves the value of IoT and real-time analytics to optimize security and operational efficiency, reducing downtime and improving asset protection.

Goals
Hunter Latam aimed to strengthen security and operational efficiency in fleet management through the use of advanced geolocation technologies and IoT connectivity. The main purpose was to reduce recovery times of stolen vehicles, optimizing detection and response even in cross-border situations. The adoption of Kite Platform was also aimed at improving remote monitoring capabilities and optimizing asset management, enabling more efficient decision making and a reduction in operating costs resulting from lost vehicles.

Results
Telefónica Tech’s IoT solution has optimized the recovery of stolen vehicles, reducing time and improving Hunter Latam’s operational efficiency. Remote monitoring has been improved with Kite Platform, minimizing downtime and optimizing resources. Global connectivity and advanced alarms have strengthened protection against theft, making it possible to track vehicles even outside the country. This technology has improved security and responsiveness, ensuring faster and more efficient recovery.
