RSAF: Technological innovation to optimize sports performance
The Royal Spanish Athletics Federation has partnered with Telefónica Tech to improve the performance of elite athletes through advanced technological solutions. Hundreds of data points, such as speed and angles, are generated and processed in real time, using wearable sensors and analytical platforms, and technologies such as IoT, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence. This enables precise and continuous performance management, driving the evolution of athletics in Spain and offering athletes a competitive advantage in an innovative digital environment.
Goals
The main purpose of this project is to optimize the performance of elite athletes through the implementation of an advanced technological solution that collects and processes data in real-time. The aim is to obtain precise indicators on key variables such as speed and angles through wearables and analysis driven by Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. This not only improves decision-making during training, but also promotes innovation in federated sport in Spain, expanding the possibilities for competitive growth.
