PangeaCo Perú is the leading company in Peru operating a state-of-the-art FTTH fibre optic network. It is building the most extensive ultra-broadband network in the country and aims to have the largest number of users. The company was established in 2020 and in July 2023, PangeaCo has signed an agreement for the entry into the capital of KKR and Entel. Telefónica Group will own a 36% stake in PangeaCo. The rest of the company is held by the KKR group with 54% and Entel Peru with 10%. This transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
PangeaCo currently accelerated its FTTH deployment with 3.4m PPs as of Mar-24 (also including T. Perú PPs) and aims to reach 5 million, with the possibility of offering fibre optic connectivity service in 86 provinces of the country by the end of 2026.
