Session description

The digitalisation of the field is already a reality, and at Smart Agro 5G we are taking precision agriculture to a new level. In this project, developed together with Viñedos y Bodegas Casa del Valle (Yepes, Toledo), we face the challenge of automating data collection and modelling a vineyard using advanced technologies.

In this talk, we will explore how the combination of robotics, 5G and satellite connectivity, edge computing and artificial intelligence is transforming the way grape growers monitor their crops and make strategic decisions. We will see firsthand how these innovations enable real-time assessment of vegetation condition and predict the next harvest.

To close the session, we will connect live with the vineyard where experts from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) will share their experience in this project.
A unique opportunity to discover the future of viticulture through technology – don’t miss it!

Demo Description

During the presentation, we will show a video of the robot taking data in the field and explore the Smart Agro 5G dashboard, with real-time telemetry from the vineyard sensors. We will also analyse the predictive models of the last harvest, designed to anticipate yield and vegetative indices. In addition, we will connect live with the UPM team to see the robot in action and, through key questions, go deeper into the technology: sensors, robotics and artificial intelligence applied to viticulture.
