Telefónica is developing an innovative Drone-as-a-Service proposition, leveraging its high-performance 5G network, advanced Open Gateway capabilities, computing power and artificial intelligence, together with a 24/7 remote operational control centre. This solution enables the safe, efficient and scalable integration of autonomous drones into the airspace, facilitating their adoption across multiple sectors without customers having to worry about operation, maintenance or regulation.

Some use cases shown include fire detection, port surveillance, medical transport, automated inventory management with self-flying drones or an anti-drone service to ensure security.
