Telefónica Tech, the leading transformation company, has won the Best Enterprise Cloud Solution in The European IT & Software Excellence Awards announced at a ceremony in London. This award is a further step in positioning Telefónica Tech as a strategic partner in the UK market, following the acquisition of CANCOM UK&I in July this year.
The award was in recognition of Telefónica Tech’s cloud transformation for a charity in the UK. A project that delivered a modern workplace solution as part of its cloud transformation, which helped to dramatically reduce IT overheads, improve security and create flexible working for employees. More than 16,000 volunteers at the charity now have secure, remote access thanks to the Telefónica Tech project.
Another factor that has contributed to Telefónica Tech gaining this recognition has been sustainability. In the project with the UK charity, reused hardware was selected wherever possible, and that which could not be reused was recycled through Telefónica Tech’s asset upcycling service, resulting in £70,000 being returned to the charity.
The European IT and Software Excellence Awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence in software development, IT and telecommunications solutions provision in Europe. Now in their twelfth year, they are recognised as Europe’s most prestigious IT channel awards. The European IT and Software Excellence Awards bring together leading channel partners, resellers, systems integrators, ISVs, MSPs, service providers, distributors, solution providers and channel marketers from across Europe.
