This morning, King Felipe visited the Telefónica stand at the opening of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, accompanied by José María Álvarez-Pallete, Executive Chairman of the operator and of the GSMA.
The entourage also included Nadia Calviño, First Vice-President of the Government and Minister for Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation; Eugènia Gay, Government Delegate in Catalonia; Ada Colau, Mayor of Barcelona; Carme Artigas, Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence; María González, Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure; Cani Fernández, President of the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMV); and Isidre Fainé, President of the “la Caixa” Banking Foundation.
Álvarez-Pallete showed them the innovative immersive experience of almost 1,000 m2, which combines the physical stand with augmented reality through different technological solutions and services related to connectivity, as well as the new communication technologies that enable intelligent networks for the development of telepresence and holographic connections.
