Íope Ventures, the investment vehicle launched by Wayra and Telefónica Seguros to invest in B2B startups in the fintech and insurtech sector, announces its investment in Rapihogar, the first neo-assistance platform that allows insurers and large companies to manage repair and maintenance services for people’s homes and property.
Rapihogar is an Argentine startup whose proposal ranges from attending to household emergencies, such as water leaks or electrical failures, to advanced solutions such as the repair of electronic devices and the launch of ‘Remolca’, a product focused on vehicle assistance. Thanks to its focus on digitalization, Rapihogar significantly improves the end-customer experience, offering fast, reliable and customized solutions.
Íope Ventures has joined other prominent investors such as Fondo Capital or Angel Investors, among others, in a round that Rapihogar has closed at 500,000 euros. With this investment, they seek to establish operations in the Spanish market as a first step and then to internationalize to the rest of Europe. They also seek to enhance the technology platform with advanced artificial intelligence and double the development team by 2025, as well as launch new assistance products to reach innovative B2B2C distribution channels.
Paloma Castellano, director of Wayra Spain, says: “With this new investment we strengthen Íope Ventures as a key player in the transformation of the insurtech ecosystem, supporting startups that seek to innovate in the way insurers operate. We support Rapihogar in this stage of growth because of its disruptive model and its leadership in the Argentine market, which are an example of the type of innovation that we seek to promote in the insurtech sector”.
Mariano Buxdorf, CEO and Co-Founder of Rapihogar, highlights: “The investment from Íope Ventures not only validates our innovative vision, but also accelerates our ability to transform assistance with cutting-edge technology by providing a solid foundation to expand our solutions in several countries in Latin America and Europe. This strategic backing especially drives our growth in electronic device support lines, opening new B2B2C distribution channels and accelerating our ability to offer faster, more efficient and customer-centric solutions to the insurance industry.
Ventures, strengthening the digitalization of insurance services
Íope Ventures seeks with its investments to strengthen its position as a key driver in the digitalization of insurance services. The fund, in addition to financial resources, provides direct access to the Telefónica Seguros and Wayra teams, facilitating commercial synergies for the companies that are part of its portfolio.
Rapihogar joins other significant investments that Íope Ventures has already made since its launch in 2022, such as Bdeo, a startup that uses artificial intelligence to detect damage to vehicles and homes, thus speeding up the claims resolution and insurance underwriting process; Wenalyze, a platform that improves data categorization in the banking sector and optimizes underwriting processes for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the insurance field; and Mitiga Solutions, a company that combines cutting-edge climate science, AI and high-performance computing to help its clients understand their exposure to climate risk.
Con un enfoque claro hacia la digitalización y la mejora del servicio al cliente, Íope Ventures aspira a invertir en al menos quince startups en los próximos años, contribuyendo así al crecimiento del sector fintech e insurtech.
