The Telefónica Centenary website has won one of the prestigious Webby Awards, specifically in the ‘Events’ category.
The commemorative website marking the first century of history of the telecommunications company founded in 1924 was nominated for two Webby Awards: the aforementioned Events award and another in the ‘Corporate Communications’ category.
Since 1997, these awards have recognised ‘the best’ of the Internet in different categories, becoming a benchmark for the online community.
Through a popular vote that ended on 17 April, users chose the best projects on the Internet for 2024.
Thank you very much to everyone who took part!
Telefonica100.com, a legacy for history
The company’s Centenary website takes visitors on a journey through 100 years of history via an extensive digital archive created for the occasion.
An interactive timeline dating back to 1924 also includes dozens of audiovisual testimonials from many of the personalities who have contributed to the development of Telefónica throughout its history: these ‘Telefónica Voices’, together with the rest of the website, constitute a documentary and audio legacy of the company’s first hundred years.
