How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

I joined Telefónica in 2000. With the turn of the century, it seems like yesterday.

Subscribe to Telefónica’s blog and find out before anyone else.

My assessment of all this time is very positive. It is the company where I have experienced different professional stages and where I have learned a lot. Living the evolution of the company has allowed me to continue evolving and growing in the many and varied projects in which I have been involved.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?

With hindsight, I like to remember the first projects in which I participated in Latam. When I realised the size of the organisation and the responsibility it entailed.

Projects that have allowed me to work with operators in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Ecuador. They have taught me the pillars that I still maintain today in my work at Telefónica Spain: rigour in my work, respect for different cultures and the importance of teamwork.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

Being a benchmark company in the sector at an international level, which has responded to great challenges, always with the focus on connecting people. Telefónica has been able to transmit its values and be consistent with them.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

I see Telefónica as the company that will lead major transformation projects, to respond to the challenges facing society today and making technology an ally.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

I like living with a mobile phone. It makes me feel closer to the people who are important to me and gives me a big window to the world in a tiny space that I can carry in my pocket.

Help us solve one of humanity’s great enigmas: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

With onion! And my favourite is made in a little town in Palencia “con P”, whose name I’m going to keep secret, at least for the moment…
