How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

In 2024 I will be 6 years enjoying working at Telefónica. They say that there are no more honest little people than children, well, I will evaluate this time with an experience I had with my 4 year old daughter. In celebration of Children’s Day we had the opportunity to enjoy a day with Mummy/Daddy in the office. Everything was new and fun for her. On the way out I asked her what she thought of it all, she answered me with a question: Hey daddy, how would you like it if I came to work with you every day after school? I like the way people treat me, they all greet each other warmly, work on their computers and look happy.

That, to be very precise, is what working at Telefónica is all about: passion for what we do and challenging ourselves with the best disposition for the best results.

Is there a project at Telefónica that you are particularly satisfied with or proud of?

The agile transformation that we foster every day is something I am proud of, as it means a sustained concern to improve, grow and innovate. There are things that particularly fill me with satisfaction and those are the daily challenges to evolve, improve the customer experience and remain profitable. The formalisation of Agile Trains such as B2B Corporate Accounts, Digital Channels and FARECO are just a few examples of how to use theoretical and methodological tools for efficient and sustained value capture.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

Telefónica has been present and available in 100 years of social events, generating and strengthening the conditions for growth in the countries where it operates, being a benchmark, leader and solid competitor. It has provided proximity in migrations, availability in ruptures and connection in interruptions.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

As that great technological enabler capable of creating new cutting-edge digital eras. Innovating, creating and growing.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

No. The times I’ve left it at home I feel like it’s left a part of my body. It’s amazing, it’s become an appendage that allows us to stay in touch.

Help us solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

Without a doubt, with onion. It provides the balance and texture necessary for the explosion of flavours on the palate. In Venezuela we usually include a larger quantity of ingredients, we add aji dulce margariteño, which adds a touch of joy at the end of each bite.
