How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?  

In the first season there was still InfoVía, so I don’t know if it counts… In the second season I’ve been at Telefónica Tech for a year and a half. Many things have changed at Telefónica between one season and the next, except for the storyline, which is still about tackling innovative projects with disruptive technologies and great professionals.  

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?  

Telefónica is in itself a transformative project of which we can all be proud, whether you are ‘telephonic’ or not. For all that the company represents in much of the world, and also for all the people who have worked over 100 years to get Telefónica to where it is today.  

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society since its inception?  

Technological, economic, social and cultural progress? And the foundations for building a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient digital society.  

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?  

I’m taking the plunge because we won’t be around to see me skate: it will be one of the great quantum and interplanetary teleportation telecoms.  

Could you live without a mobile phone?  

Of course, although going through life with a tablet in your hand is uncomfortable.

I don’t really care if it’s well done and I’m in good company. I hope that in 100 years Schrödinger’s omelette will put an end to it.
