How long have you been at Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?
I joined in 2012 as an intern, and I have been working in the Telefónica Group for 11 years now. During this time I have worked for different companies in the Group and in different roles. Although at first glance it may seem that everything is the same as it was 10 years ago, that is not the case at all. Telefónica has grown and I have grown with it, and vice versa. It has been an enriching time both personally and professionally, and I suspect that the years ahead will be just as exciting, if not more so.
Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with?
The fact that I have been part of different companies within the Group means that I have had the pleasure of participating in projects with very different characteristics, I would be unable to choose just one. In fact, I like to see my career at Telefónica as a long-term project in which each role I play is a fundamental part in facing the challenges of the next one.
What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?
In a hyper-connected world like the one we live in, Telefónica is behind every technological advance and every application that makes our day-to-day life what it is today. And it is thanks to these technological advances that Telefónica makes a great contribution in both social and economic areas, being one of the great pillars of the country.
Where do you see Telefónica in the future?
As it is today, starring on the front pages that talk about technological advances, but also on the front pages that talk about advances as a society.
Could you live without a mobile phone?
Of course… no. It is hard for me to imagine my day-to-day life without being able to resolve an issue or a question at any time, wherever I am, or without the peace of mind of being able to contact anyone with a simple gesture. And on a professional level, it is impossible to imagine projects of the magnitude of those developed at Telefónica today without the possibility of a working model such as the one provided by new technologies.
Help us solve one of humanity’s great enigmas: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?
