How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

Almost 25 years. It has been an incredible experience, not only because of everything I have achieved, but also because I have been able to develop as a person and as a professional, I have met wonderful people whom I love and respect, and I have always worked with super powerful teams that have made me learn continuously. I am an industrial psychologist, I have developed my entire career in human resources, I started in Telefonica Móviles with a scholarship in Training and from there I went through Organisation, Compensation, RRLL, Employment and, finally, Selection and Incorporation of Talent, where I discovered my great passion.

I have had the opportunity to continue studying and training in a field that fascinates me and I feel very fortunate to have a rucksack full of memories, colleagues, experiences?

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?

There have been many great projects in which I have participated during my career, from negotiating agreements to implementing new work models… but the one that has motivated me the most in recent years has been a project to incorporate people with disabilities into the company.

Talentum is a project that is repeated every year and that I live with the same enthusiasm… being able to collaborate from the company with NGOs to promote the employability of people at risk of exclusion… a Five Stars award for Integrity as a professional, being recognised as People of Value…. Matching our company with professionals is a passion for me.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

It is an engine of continuous growth, it has made society evolve and grow over time, it is a technological and social benchmark and our goal is to put people at the centre. Without the power of communications we would not have grown and developed, it has given work to thousands of people and made millions happy.

Telefónica strives to be a catalyst for the growth of people and society at large, through technology and social responsibility. The invention of the telephone was a transformative innovation in communications, enabling quick and easy connection with people around the world and had a major economic impact by boosting the telecommunications industry and generating employment. Since that milestone, the evolution has been exponential. It is a company that is an example of diversity and those of us who work here have a great pride of belonging that shows in our actions.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

Growing towards unfamiliar technologies and making people’s lives easier. Telefónica is transforming itself to face the next 100 years, focusing on digital, data and networks.

We are immersed in the greatest technological advances and I hope to be around for much longer to experience them. The last 5 years have been exciting, challenging and full of excitement and new projects… Like us, Telefonica is constantly reinventing itself. Now let’s take a look at what A.I. brings and how we adapt it to the way we live and work.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

No. When I leave the house it’s the first thing I look at, I connect to meetings, activate the GPS, use it to pay, work, socialise, watch the news, read… No, without a doubt, I couldn’t live without a phone. I try to rest for a while, but I always end up biting…

Help us solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?
