How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?
I joined Telefónica last century, that’s nothing … in 1997. During more than a quarter of a century, I experienced many changes and I had the opportunity (and still do) to grow personally and professionally in every area I have been in.
Valuing my time at Telefónica is something natural for me, because at Telefónica I have gone through all my professional stages and it is an inseparable part of my life. It may sound trite, but this company is an extension of our families of origin.
Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly proud or satisfied with?
Twenty-six years is a long time…. I have been lucky enough to work in different areas within the company and on very new and innovative projects, which have allowed me to meet people from different countries within the different Telefónica companies.
One of the projects that I think unites all employees is the Corporate Volunteering programme of our Foundation, a programme that transcends and humanises our societies exponentially.
What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?
Our essence and our vocation for service have made us a crucial player in the evolution of telecommunications and in the technological transformation of the different countries in which we are present, and where we have always been a driving force for economic growth.
Where do you see Telefónica in the future?
It will continue to play a leading role in the information society, because it will maintain its technological leadership, true to our DNA of innovation and business transformation.
Could you live without a mobile phone?
I could, although I would find it difficult, as the mobile phone has become a very important device in our daily lives.
Help us solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?
Of course with onion and homemade, what a great dish of Spanish cuisine!
Nominate other colleagues to appear in this section
How difficult because I would nominate many colleagues I have had the joy of working with.
I would nominate Esperanza Ballesteros Campillo, María Álvarez Benítez and Alicia Romon Gutierrez.
