How long have you been at Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?
In 2010, I joined as an intern in the GAIA programme, where I was able to study a master’s degree and work at the former TIWS.
In 2011, I joined Telefónica Global Services GmbH in Germany as an intern, and without thinking about it, I went to live in Munich, where I worked as a Financial Manager for almost 4 years.
In 2015, I moved to Telefónica UK Limited, where I worked as a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in the finance department. I loved working between London and Slough.
Currently, since 2016, I work at Telefonica Business Solutions, in Madrid, in the Vendor Management & Global Offices area.
It has been a very enriching journey, passing through very interesting cities, learning languages, meeting colleagues and friends and above all, growing professionally.
Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly satisfied with or proud of?
Within Telefónica Global Solutions, the TRAFUL Automation project, of internal processes, to be more efficient, using cutting-edge technology, such as AWS. We are changing the way we work, giving greater added value, anticipating problems, and above all bringing efficiencies to the company. We have improved our relationship with our suppliers.
What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?
The Telefónica Group brings communication, union, stability and, above all, progress. From my point of view, we do a great job helping companies and individuals to better develop their technologies, providing them with a quality internet service. I love to look back… and see how travelling, studying abroad, working in companies, how we have improved the way we communicate. I saw it very clearly in the pandemic, when we saw that we provide a quality service so that companies, workers, students, the self-employed, etc, could continue to work, thanks to the telecommunications services we have in the countries where the Telefónica Group has a footprint.
Where do you see Telefónica in the future?
Continuing, connecting the world and helping society to continue to progress. I love technology, I like to see how it helps society, for example, to be better educated, to have greater security, to have more efficient tools. In other words, to improve people’s quality of life, and at Telefonica, we are very visionary and we always have great ideas and proposals.
Could you live without a mobile phone?
I don’t think so, I need some device…. a tablet, a mobile phone, a PC. But I think I know very well the difference between when I need it for work and when I need it for my private life. I like to be connected, to know what’s going on in the world, to read the news on my devices, to know what the weather is going to be like when I go on holiday, to have my diary, to be able to shop online….. I could live without it, but I prefer to live connected.
Help us solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?
Potato omelette, with onion and little curd. But, above all, to be able to share it with my friends and family. For me, the omelette is a symbol of togetherness.
