How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

I have been with the company for more than 15 years and I have always been in the Communications area. We have gone through many stages and I have witnessed a change, which I feel I have been part of, towards technological improvement and above all with a feeling of belonging to a team that has made it possible, growing together project by project.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?

There have been many projects in which I have been involved and all of them have given me something to learn and grow, with the good fortune of having great colleagues by my side. If I have to choose one, I would choose Telefónica’s new website, a project we are still working on, doing my bit to keep improving.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society since its creation?

Telefónica is a benchmark for society, always at the forefront of technology and, most importantly, meeting people’s needs.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

Telefónica has always been at the forefront of technology. Its level of resilience and transformation has meant that for a century it has always been a global benchmark. In the future? Opening a branch office on Mars! From Telefónica District to Telefónica Planet.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

“I can leave it whenever I want”, as they would say, but…. Rather than living without a mobile phone, I would prefer to put it to a more “proper” use. It really is a very useful tool, which has made our lives easier and better. Without a mobile phone I would have less contact with many people, I would use the computer much more, and above all, I would get lost more often in the car (well, and walking too).

Help us solve one of the great enigmas of humanity: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

The good one, without onion, without a doubt. With chorizo, with onion, with macaroni… there are versions, all right, but none like the original.

In #Thespanishomelettething tag section we interview Telefónica’s employees on a variety of topics, while trying to solve one of humanity’s greatest dilemmas.
