How long have you been with Telefónica and how would you rate your time here?

Difficult question for me! I started out at Tuenti, the Spanish social network par excellence a few years ago, which Telefónica bought in 2010. At that time, we went from being a social network to become a mobile operator. And, later, I became part of the team in charge of the launch of O2 Spain, and then I became head of Institutional Relations, where I am currently. So, taking all this into account, I could say that I have been part of Telefónica for almost 15 years.

My assessment of my career is very positive, as it has allowed me to grow professionally and to get to know the company from the smallest to the largest.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with?

I could mention several because at all stages there have been things that have made me feel proud of the company I work for, but mainly being part of the team that gave birth to O2 in Spain and seeing the important brand that it has become today for the company. And what’s left!

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

For me one of the most important things that exists, which is to allow us to be connected to anyone in any corner of the world. And, of course, innovation and always being at the forefront of technology.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

Technology is advancing very fast and in directions that a few years ago we didn’t even imagine or didn’t believe would be possible in such a short period of time. But it is a company that demonstrates every day that it will always move forward hand in hand with technology and contribute value to society. And, above all, with many challenges ahead.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

I have to admit that I could not. Not that I have ever tried, but I think I would find it very difficult.

Help us solve one of humanity’s great enigmas: the potato omelette… With or without onion?

Oh, how complicated! If you force me to choose one, with onion.
