Fundación ONCE, in line with the Social Business Initiative and with the support of a group of companies and member organizations and the European Commission, is launching the 2nd European Award for Social Entrepreneurship and Disability: Promoting Social Investment. The aim of this Award is to detect and promote social entrepreneurship projects in the area of the disability.
There will be awarded start-ups with a clear and viable business plan or projects already underway with less than 2 years, which fit in any of the two categories: social entrepreneurs with projects focused on the field of disability or entrepreneurs with a disability with an innovative project.
For second consecutive year, Fundación ONCE has the collaboration of the European Commission and is supported by Telefónica, L’Oréal and the Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali (founding members of the European Network of CSR&D), in addition to Kanchi, Essl Foundation and Fundación Triodos.New in this second edition, two new and relevant entities are incorporated. The European Disability Forum, platform representing Disability in Europe and EiDD Design for All Europe. These participating institutions will be part of the jury that will evaluate the submitted projects.
The award for the winning project of this initiative increases and rises in this second edition to 11,000 euros gross, amount cofinanced by Fundación ONCE, L’Oréal, Fundación Triodos and EiDD.
Applications may be submitted from October 28th until December 12th via http://www.csr-d.eu/es/premio-europeo-para-el-emprendimiento-social-y-la-discapacidad/, where the rules and the application forms are found.
The winning project will receive recognition at the awards ceremony, to be held in 2015.
