How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?
I started on 17 April 2023. I had already worked in some big companies before, but Telefónica is at a different level. I hadn’t imagined the gears needed to move a multinational like Telefónica.
Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly satisfied with or proud of?
As I’ve only been there for such a short time, I’ve only been in the Audiences department. More specifically in the development and maintenance of the company’s corporate website. I am very happy because every day I learn something new and I can help my colleagues to optimise their work. In the world of technology, you haven’t finished learning a tool when seven better ones have already come out.
What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?
Telefónica has always been a company that has represented the avant-garde and the vision of the future in Spain to make people’s lives easier. As early as 1928, four years after its creation, Telefónica made the first transatlantic call from Spain between King Alfonso XIII and the President of the United States.
Where do you see Telefónica in the future?
It will continue to anticipate the needs and concerns of society as it has always done. Artificial Intelligence and the cloud are trends now, but in a few years’ time, who knows: regular communications between Earth and Mars?
Could you live without a mobile phone?
No, I admit that I have become too used to it; although, I am considering becoming less dependent on it.
