How long have you been at Telefónica and how would you rate your time here?

I started in January 2024 as an Internal Security Consultant. My time here has been very exciting. Work Telefónica presents itself to be full of both learnings and challenges, both professionally and personally. There is so much to learn and so many people to meet. But I can say that with a happy face. I’m thankful for the trust and the diverse responsibilities placed in me and glad for every colleague that I have met.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly satisfied with or proud of?

In the nearly 9 months that I have worked here, there are no big “projects” I can take credit for. But since I took over this topic, I’m proud of the progress I have made with our Security Awareness efforts with the help of my colleagues, bringing security to our employees with a mix of both fresh and seasoned formats. And even more so, I am proud of every “thank you” I get for helping, discussing and sometimes just being there.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

Telefónica can be proud of connecting people over the last century. Being apart from each other is hard enough, it’s great that there is Telefónica to provide services lowering those distances, to keep in touch with loved ones and of course enabling businesses to work globally.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

Now, I see Telefónica positioning itself as a modern, diverse, and disruptive telecommunications company, deliberately going new ways. In the future, I imagine Telefónica continuing this path and making affordable and secure communication services accessible to even more people. Other than that, further encouraging and supporting employees in their learning journey and enabling us to be the best version of ourselves and converting that feeling into value for the future.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

For some time, of course. I always see spa days or even vacations as a (honestly, mostly) mobile free zone. But for every? I doubt it. My phone not only helps me in managing my chores and keeping my office paper-free, but it also allows me to keep in touch with my closest relatives and friends in a matter of seconds.

Help us solve one of humanity’s great enigmas: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

I mean, it’s food. I eat it either way and I respect every opinion. But if I had to choose, I would choose with onion. It’s just flavor town.
