This year 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Pablo Picasso, one of the great geniuses of 20th century art on a global scale.
And we want to celebrate it by giving away a hotel night plus a double ticket for the exhibitions ‘Picasso, the sacred and the profane’ at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid and/or ‘The echo of Picasso’ at the Picasso Museum in Málaga.

Exhibitions on Picasso in Madrid and Málaga
Picasso, the Sacred and the Profane
With this exhibition, the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza brings to a close the projects linked to the fiftieth anniversary of the artist’s death.
Commissioned by Paloma Alarcó, the exhibition “proposes to study the boldness and originality with which the artist approached both the classical world and the themes of the Judeo-Christian tradition, revealing his ability to integrate elements and issues from earlier art and to reflect on the ultimate essence of painting”.
The echo of Picasso
Commissioned by Eric Troncy, The Echo of Picasso is an exhibition in which works by the Andalusian artist converse with those of other contemporary artists who, for different reasons, have echoed or are echoing Picasso’s work.
As explained on the Málaga museum’s website, “each era, whether during Picasso’s lifetime or after his death, has found new motifs on which artists invite us to reflect. There were those who, driven by the logic of the avant-garde of the last century, imagined stylistic developments inspired by those proposed by Picasso”.
Picasso Celebration 1973-2023
Telefónica has been collaborating throughout the year in the Picasso Celebration to commemorate half a century since the death of the painter from Málaga, an opportunity to raise awareness of the work of the multifaceted artist.
The operator is the only collaborating company in Spain supporting the events and exhibitions that are being held to commemorate the anniversary.
We remind you that if you are interested in attending any of the aforementioned exhibitions, you can find all the information on how to take part in the draw on our website.
