How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?
I have been with Telefónica for 34 years. It seems incredible to me to be able to say that I am one of the people on the team that started with the technology of Automatic Mobile Telephony (TMA-450), which is now reaching 5G and AI.
Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly proud or satisfied with?
Ufff… There are so many: the first million MoviLine customers (in March 1996), the change of technology to ETACS, the ever-smaller mobile terminals…
What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?
Cutting-edge technology.
Where do you see Telefónica in the future?
Making it possible to communicate with any part of the planet.
Could you live without a mobile phone?
As a person who has had to go out to call from a phone booth, or who still calls from a landline, maybe yes, but you would become an ‘outcast’ in 21st century society.
