How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

I have been working at Telefónica for 15 years, a company that has given me many opportunities for professional development. I have worked in different areas and functions, always learning and adapting to changes in the environment. I am very grateful for everything I have experienced and achieved in this company.

I am passionate about my work and I like to keep growing and improving. That’s why I’m always looking for new training and updating opportunities.

Of course I want to continue working at Telefónica and continue to take on challenges and responsibilities that bring a lot of value and experience to the company.

Is there any project at Telefónica that you are particularly satisfied with or proud of?

One of the projects I am most proud of is the Employee Self-Management project I did at Telefónica some time ago. The objective was to create an online platform where employees could manage their own payroll processes, such as requesting holidays, changing personal data or consulting receipts.

My role in the project was fundamental in the coordination with the team of consultants for the correct development and adaptation to the needs of the organic labour law in Venezuela and the satisfaction of the collaborators, in charge of carrying out the technical tests, solving the problems that arose and guaranteeing the quality of the final product.

The biggest challenge was to adapt the platform to the different labour regulations in my country, as well as to ensure the security and privacy of employee data.

This project was based on partial deliveries and constant feedback with the consultants so we were able to validate the functionalities and correct errors quickly, and today it is still active and with improvements and adaptations to the new environment in which we live.

The result was a success, as we managed to deliver the project on time, with a high level of employee satisfaction and significant savings in time and resources for the company.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

I think Telefónica has done a lot of positive things for society, especially through the Foundation. One of the ones I have liked the most are the virtual classrooms, where I have seen the excitement of the children who participate in the educational programmes. These give them a futuristic view of technology and innovation, and prepare them for the digital world.

Another aspect I value about Telefónica is its commitment to the environment and social inclusion. In addition, Telefónica promotes diversity and gender equality in the organisation and in its services, respecting the human rights and privacy of its customers.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

Telefónica is a company that has adapted to the changes and needs of society. It has a vision of the future based on innovation and talent, which allows it to be at the forefront of technological advances.

In my opinion, Telefónica will continue to consolidate its position in the market and become stronger across the continent, thanks to its commitment to digitalisation, robotics and artificial intelligence. These areas are key to offering efficient and sustainable solutions in this fast-changing world. In addition, Telefónica does not neglect its customers’ privacy, but protects it with high standards of security and ethics.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

Only on holidays! The truth is that I couldn’t live without my mobile phone, because from there I have a network of contacts that I use on a daily basis. It is the quick way to talk to my family, friends and colleagues. It also allows me to watch news, research, shop and do many other things. For example, thanks to my mobile phone I can use applications like Google Maps, which help me find my way around when I travel or when I am looking for a place. I would say that if I forget my phone at home I would go back to get it, but if I leave my wallet I wouldn’t. I could carry on without it. I could carry on without it.

Help us solve one of humanity’s great enigmas: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

The potato omelette is one of the most typical and delicious dishes of Spanish gastronomy. According to my palate, the potato omelette with onion is much tastier and juicier than without it. The onion gives it a magical, caramelised touch, which contrasts with the mild flavour of the potato and egg.

However, I respect those who prefer the omelette without onion, and I admit that I could also eat it both ways. The important thing is that the omelette is well done. At the end of the day, the important thing is to enjoy this rich and versatile dish.
