How long have you been with Telefónica and what is your assessment of your time here?

I joined Telefónica at the end of 1995, that’s 28 years, almost my entire professional life. My assessment of my time here is that it has gone by very quickly, it has flown by. I am one of those people who have a great time at work; I really like what I do and I like my colleagues. It’s true that I also put a lot of effort into having the right attitude; some colleagues tell me, with a certain amount of joking, that I’m a “motivated person for life”. Since I joined Telefónica I have felt privileged to have the opportunity to work here. And it’s something I often repeat to myself in the morning: how lucky I am to work at Telefónica!

Is there any project at Telefónica that you feel particularly satisfied with or proud of?

To name a few, I fondly remember the Universitas Telefónica start-up project. And more recently “Feedback Week” and “New Managers”, to name but a few. Over the years I have had the opportunity to be in different teams, up to 12 different ones, and I have very good memories of my time in all of them.

What do you think Telefónica has contributed to society?

In my opinion, we have been, are and will be a key player in the transformation of our society.

Where do you see Telefónica in the future?

A complicated answer in these times, although what Telefónica has always shown us is our ability to reinvent ourselves successfully. I am optimistic, although I believe that the Telefónica of a few years’ time will not look much like the Telefónica of today. And what I have no doubt about is that in the future we will continue to be a great team and we will have the best professionals.

Could you live without a mobile phone?

I think so, although rather than deciding between “living with” or “living without”, I am more in favour of responsible use.

Help us solve one of humanity’s great enigmas: the potato omelette… With onion or without onion?

Without onion, although if my mother-in-law makes it, I like it with and without.
