Hello everybody!
Today is a special day. A day to celebrate. It’s not every day that we turn 98 years old. And never before has our purpose been more relevant: to make our world more human by connecting people’s lives.
In the almost 100 years of Telefónica’s history, we have faced exceptional situations, which have required extraordinary actions that have enabled us to deal with them successfully. Telefónica is always there, whatever happens. Even in the most turbulent times, we do our job.
We are very proud of what we have done, what we are doing and what we will do. That is why today I wanted to meet with Antonio and Inés, two ‘telefónicos’ who represent the experience, the present and the future of our company, to talk about what we are, what we have made possible and what seemed impossible for others.
Today we can celebrate that Telefónica will live for the next 100 years, because we know how to anticipate and do things well. And that Telefónica is an extraordinary company because it has been built stone by stone, milestone by milestone, by extraordinary people like you, like all of you.
My conversation with Inés and Antonio is missing a question. This is not a mistake. It was deliberate. It is the one I would like you to answer: what makes you most proud of what we have achieved at Telefónica?
