Telefónica Public Policy & Telefónica España Regulatory teams
This year’s overarching theme is:
Internet for society – how to serve the public interest?
Participants to the event will try to give answers to this question through its 6 plenaries:
- How to serve the public interest?
- Governing Cyberspace: How to keep the Internet safe, free and open?
- Privacy and E-Commerce – implications for children and young people
- Under which jurisdiction(s) are European citizens online?
- Multistakeholder approach to fighting cybercrime and safeguarding cybersecurity
- Who makes money with content? Who should pay for content?
Subjects such as Internet security, accessibility, inclusion, digital contents, safe Internet or the post-WCIT process will be covered during its 8 workshops and 13 flash sessions.
Recent revelations on the tracking of citizens’ activities in the Internet by certain governments will for sure pervade the meeting and will add more fuel to the already hot discussions on the human rights & Internet field.
Telefónica will be represented by Christoph Steck, Public Policy & Internet Director at corporate level.
