Álvaro Echevarría Arévalo

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Universitat Ramon Llull (IQS Barcelona), Executive MBA from ESADE, and General Management Program (PDG) from IESE (University of Navarra). 

He joined Telefónica as Chief of Staff in April 2025, assuming responsibility for the Chairman and CEO office, and subsequently became a member of the Executive Committee. 

Álvaro has a solid background in the financial services sector, with a track record of holding various leadership positions at Banco Sabadell since 2002. In March 2023, he was appointed as the institution’s deputy general manager, overseeing the Institutional Relations and Corporate Security division. 

Prior to this, Álvaro held positions at Retevision and the consulting firm EY.
